I just wanted to add a different view point as a parent of a child who has thrown numberous huge wig outs pretty much any public and private location.
Unsolisited advice is not required!
I found it offensive – when I was stressed from the display being shown by someone I love having another person point out how they think I should handle things is not helpful at all.
There were the minority of kind people take the time to provide a word of encouragement or compliment me on an action I took! These moments are very few in my memory but they have helped me be a better mom to this day!
There is advice coming at families from every direction, getting a persons point of view may be helpful at times but never at times of struggle. As a friend biting their tongue or waiting and give suggested advice at a future time not in times of peril may be the kindest thing to do.
